Topologi Jaringan adalah gambaran secara fisik dari pola hubungan antara komponen-komponen
jaringan, yang meliputi server, workstation, hub dan pengkabelannnya. Terdapat tiga macam
topologi jaringan umum digunakan, yaitu Bus, Star dan Ring.



Topologi Bus
Pada topologi Bus digunakan sebuah kabel tunggal atau kabel pusat di mana seluruh workstation dan
server dihubungkan. Keunggulan topologi Bus adalah pengembangan jaringan atau penambahan
workstation baru dapat dilakukan dengan mudah tanpa mengganggu workstation lain. Kelemahan
dari topologi ini adalah bila terdapat gangguan di sepanjang kabel pusat maka keseluruhan jaringan
akan mengalami gangguan.




Topologi Star
Pada topologi Star, masing-masing workstation dihubungkan secara langsung ke server atau hub.
Keunggulan dari topologi tipe Star ini adalah bahwa dengan adanya kabel tersendiri untuk setiap
workstation ke server, maka bandwidth atau lebar jalur komunikasi dalam kabel akan semakin lebar
sehingga akan meningkatkan unjuk kerja jaringan secara keseluruhan. Dan juga bila terdapat
gangguan di suatu jalur kabel maka gangguan hanya akan terjadi dalam komunikasi antara
workstation yang bersangkutan dengan server, jaringan secara keseluruhan tidak mengalami
gangguan. Kelemahan dari topologi Star adalah kebutuhan kabel yang lebih besar dibandingkan
dengan topologi lainnya.

Selalu banyak cara dalam memodifikasi komputer. Mulai dari modifikasi perangkat keras(hardware) dengan cara membeli perangkat keras baru hingga modifikasi perangkat lunak(software) dengan menggunakan perangkat lunak tambahan.

Namun modifikasi yang sering terjadi dan dilakukan terhadap komputer sering terlihat di sisi perangkat lunak itu sendiri. Hal tersebut dapat dilihat dari penambahan perangkat lunak tambahan seperti aplikasi pengolah kata, aplikasi pengolah database dan aplikasi pemrograman.

Terkadang seorang pengguna komputer merasa tidak puas dengan tampilan standar yang diberikan oleh sistem operasi itu sendiri. Maka mereka sering melakukan modifikasi sistem operasi dengan menggunakan aplikasi tambahan atau melalui fasilitas yang ada di sistem operasi itu sendiri, seperti: regedit, mmc dan lain-lain.

Salahsatu contoh modifikasi sistem operasi dengan menggunakan fasilitas lainnya yaitu dengan memanfaatkan bahasa pemrograman yang sudah ada pada sistem operasi itu sendiri. Windows merupakan salahsatu sistem operasi yang memiliki bahasa pemrograman built-in. Beberapa bahasa perograman yang berada di Windows dan bersifat Client-Side diantaranya yaitu JavaScript dan VBScript.

Hehe, Mr. Chin holds the record for being the “Oldest” Mandarin Chinese language conversation classes participant we have ever taught in Kuching Sarawak, East Malaysia. As of the year 2006, Mr. Chin is already 84 years old.

Despite his advanced age, Mr. Chin is one of our most enthusiastic and hardworking “student”. His deep passion and determination to learn and master the beautiful Mandarin Chinese language, has greatly touched our heart and inspired us.

For the last 3 years (since 2003), whenever Mr. Chin is in Kuching Sarawak (and not somewhere in other parts of the world), rain or shine he will come for his Mandarin language classes without fail. In fact, we strongly believe that if the 3rd Mile area is flooded, Mr. Chin would still come in a boat!!!

Mr. Chin has steadily and successfully progressed from one level to another: the Basic, Intermediate and Advanced Mandarin Chinese language courses. He is now in the Continuous Learning class and doing great.

Do you have colored linens for us to select from?
Country Springs Hotel provides all white linen service for your wedding reception (white linen tablecloths and white linen napkins). We also have burgundy linens and black napkins available at no additional cost. Chair Covers with ties and Specialty Linens are available at an additional charge.

Do you provide centerpieces for the tables?
Country Springs Hotel provides Mosaic Centerpieces, primarly red in color, at no additional charge. These centerpieces are candle (oil) lit and have approximately a 6" diameter at the widest point with a 4" diameter base and are 7.5" in height.

When can we get into the banquet room to decorate?
You are contracted for the use of your room for a certain timeframe. If you would like early access to the room, that can be pre-approved three weeks prior to your event (it depends upon whether or not the room is in use before your event). The room is normally ready for your florist, band, or DJ to set up an average of 2 hours prior to the Reception.

Who cleans up the room?
Anything you bring in must be removed from the banquet room that evening before departing. Please assign a personal attendant to gather the items you want to keep or any items which need to be returned to vendors i.e. cake knife, server, toasting glasses, guest book and pen, card box, cake pieces or centerpieces
